Sideloaders for Shipping Container Delivery

Sideloader delivery is optimal for locations with space constraints at the intended container site.

This delivery method allows the container to be offloaded directly onto the ground alongside the driver’s side of the vehicle, fitting neatly between the outrigger feet and just half a meter from the truck.

Designed for versatility, this method accommodates 20’ containers on rigid trucks and 40’ containers on semi-trailers or articulated trucks.

The delivery approach requires careful consideration of space, including clearance heights and widths, to ensure safe and effective unloading and positioning, making it ideal for tight spaces and various logistical challenges.

Sideloaders – What to Know

  • Delivery Surfaces: Most carriers avoid off-road or soft ground. Drivers may decline delivery if conditions are unsuitable.
  • Liability: If a truck gets stuck, recovery costs fall to the customer.
  • Site Prep: Let us know about wet, soft, or recently dug areas in advance. Have an alternate drop site ready if needed.
  • Fencing: Sideloaders can place containers over low fences—removal of fence panels may be required.
